Slow down for Copenhagen Sprint

Experience the cycling festival up close in Union June 13-14, 2026
Get your heart rate down in the middle of the hectic cycling rush.

When Copenhagen Sprint hits the city, the pulse rises everywhere. But at Union, you can do the opposite.

In the courtyard, we open the Slow Zone – a sanctuary in the middle of the cycling festivities, where the pace slows down, shoulders relax, and there’s room for both breaks and presence. Here, riders, fans, and curious guests can step out of the race’s intensity and into a sensory, laid-back atmosphere.

Hammocks sway in the yard, food is served at long communal tables, and the soundscape flows from freestyle rap and drum rhythms to swing, jazz, and dancing. The program is curated as a fluid experience, where you can stay all day – or just drop by whenever it suits you.

On Saturday, highlights include freestyle rap with Wombattles, a colorful candombe parade, dance introductions and social dancing with Hepcats, as well as a live concert by Dusty Rag Jazz Band. The day wraps up with a swing DJ and a relaxed courtyard vibe.

Sunday continues in the same spirit with a DJ set by DJ Mezcal, another round of freestyle rap, a live concert by Nomad Cats, and swing dancing for both beginners and experienced dancers.

On both days, you can gather for a shared long-table lunch hosted by Send Flere Krydderier – a central meeting point in the Slow Zone where food and community go hand in hand.

Whether you want to dance, listen, eat, or simply take a deeper breath, Slow Zone is a place to land in the midst of the city’s cycling buzz.
