Snajer-Arriazu (AR)

Experience two of Latin America's foremost guitarists cross jazz and contemporary music with an undeniable love for their origins.

Two guitarists from two different musical corners meet in the exploration of traditional Argentine and Latin American rhythms.

The repertoire of Ernesto Snajer and Matías Arriazu offers original compositions that combine the undeniable love of the roots with more personal crossings of jazz and contemporary music.

In the dialogue between the two musical generations, we move elegantly between styles such as chacarera, zambas, vidalas, chamamés, huaynos, tangos and milongas and there are nods to the great South American masters such as Piazzolla, Guastavino, Gismonti, Teresa Parodi and Hermeto Pascoal.

Ernesto Snajer

Ernesto snager originates from Buenos Aires and has his own trio, plays in a duo with "Tiki" Cantero and was part of a project with the Danish guitarist Palle Windfeldt which was produced by the Brazilian master Egberto Gismonti.

As a guitarist, he has participated in around a hundred albums, including with artists such as Calle 13, Julieta Venegas, Alejandro Lerner and León Gieco.

Matías Arriazu

Matías Arriazu was born in Formosa in the north of Argentina. He is both composer and arranger, and is among the most skilled on the 8-string guitar. He has performed at the biggest festivals in Argentina and has worked with luminaries such as Juan Falú, Liliana Herrero, Carlos Aguirre, Juan Quintero and Brazilian musicians such as Arismar do Espírito Santo, Chico Batera, Rogério Sousa, Yamandú Costa and not least the great maestro Egberto Gismonti.
