About us
Read more about what Union is and what we work for.
Union is a cultural center located at Nørre Allé 7 in Nørrebro in Copenhagen. Union was called VerdensKulturCentret until March 2019, when we changed our name.
Kulturhuset has existed since 1993 and over the years has been a beacon for intercultural work in Denmark. Over 20 different associations and organizations are members of Union and have their homes here. Many more have regular activities in the house.
Union has the venue Aula on the 1st floor, an exercise room, sound studios, meeting rooms and much more. The socio-economic restaurant Send Flere Krydderier is responsible for the culinary experiences in the dining room.
The venue ALICE is located in Union's concert hall in the backyard. ALICE presents a bold music program of high quality with global roots, jazz, improv, electronic music, sound experiments and exciting new tones from around the world.
The vast majority of the cultural content in Union consists of citizen-initiated co-creation projects with an intercultural focus, such as lectures, theatre, speeches, screenings, exhibitions, festivals and concerts.
More than 400 events take place annually in Union.
