Carolo (AR) + Nils Gröndahl (DK/DE)

Double concert: Argentinian performative avant-garde with Carolo and dark repetitive drone music with Nils Gröndahl.

Carolo (AR)

We know Carola Zelaschi as the energetic and charismatic drummer of the noise rock group Blanco Teta (who play at ALICE the next day). Under the name Carolo, she now presents her first solo project, and the Argentinian producer, drummer and performer doesn't take her foot off the accelerator: It's still experimental and it's still avant-garde, but Carolo also dives into the hard electronic depths and lets herself flow on the big oceans of ambience.

In 2019 she was selected for Chilly Gonzales' musical residency Gonzervatory in Cologne, and she is a concert musician for several artists from the Buenos Aires music scene such as Lucy Patané and Kaleema.

Carolo's self-titled debut LP will be released in December 2024 on the independent label SONAMOS.

Nils Gröndahl (DK/DE)

The last time Nils Gröndahl visited Union was during the Sorte Firkant Festival earlier this year, and we are very much looking forward to once again house his repetitive mood-saturated sound collages.

From the end of the nineties, the Danish/German violinist Nils Gröndahl in the band Under Byen helped to open and define a new chapter in Danish music. Since then, he has become something of an institution on the domestic music scene through his collaboration with names such as Kellermensch, Broken Twin, Iceage, MØ and, not least, as a solo artist.

Gröndahl has most recently released the EP Du Läufst Zu Schnell, which Information called "a dark and sci-fi rhythmic universe filled with heavy beats and bass that circulates in on itself as if it had set its course for a black hole."

  • The doors open at 19:00
  • Concert start at 20:00
  • Ticket price in advance: DKK 80.
