Re:Making the City
During this two-day Urb.Able workshop series, we will create collages and maps to imagine more accessible and inclusive urban space.
URB.ABLE is an Erasmus+ funded project that empowers young people to co-create more inclusive urban spaces, with a focus on the barriers that limit the socialisation of young people with physical and sensory disabilities.
This workshop is open to any youth aged 18-30, as well as policy experts, youth workers, and people with disabilities. During the two-day series, we will collaborate with each other to imagine & design more accessible urban space.
On the first day, we will create collages to brainstorm solutions regarding: youth participation in urban planning, accessible public space, inclusive transportation & mobility, and how technology / smart cities can better promote accessibility. On the second day, we will create maps that imagine new, accessible alternative designs for Nørreport Station.
After the workshop, the youth hackathon submissions will be remotely evaluated by the policymakers. Members of the winning team will receive a free annual pass for the Design Museum!
The workshop is free and will be held in English. No background in design is needed to participate. Please complete the form to register! We will contact you with any additional information before the workshop begins.
