Tempi - Roots Music Denmark

TEMPI is one of four Danish genre organizations and works to strengthen and promote roots music in Denmark.

Roots is a collective term for all music that conveys, continues or interprets musical traditions and roots. TEMPI strives to create a diverse, inclusive and sustainable music and cultural life – for artists and performers, for institutions and venues and for audiences and society. They want to represent a genre that is aware of its origins and at the same time has eyes and ears open to the future.

TEMPI works with partnerships and audience development, documentation and dissemination, export efforts and grant activities, change initiatives and consultancy, among other things. They strive to develop and offer innovative and transparent solutions to the specific challenges facing Danish music and cultural life in 2026.
