With Zozo you will experience dance lessons that range from traditional Zulu dance to Afro-contemporary, Afro-fusion Amapiano, Gumboots and modern dance.

About Zozo

Zozo is educated in South Africa in traditional South African Afro-fusion dance and later further trained in contemporary dance in Denmark at the School of Modern Dance (Den Danske Scenekunstskole).

Folkamok X Union: Polenta (FI) & Justine Boesen (DK)

Experience two up-and-coming artists in folk music and join us on a unique journey into the sounds of the North and its modern interpretations when Polenta and Justine Boesen visit Union on August 5.

The audience will have the opportunity to hear Justine Boesen's present and intimate solo set for accordion and soprano vocals, and they will be able to hear the Finnish quartet Polenta and enjoy their swinging and powerful concert set carried forward by Finnish violin music. At the end of the concert, you will hear all five musicians in close interaction and harmony.

Julia Vargas (BR)

Latin Grammy nominee and finalist of The Voice Brazil 2023, presents her new show in Copenhagen.

Born in Cabo Frio into a family of musicians, Julia Vargas is a singer, songwriter, and percussionist acclaimed for the depth and sensitivity of her artistry. Her career features collaborations with renowned Brazilian artists such as Milton Nascimento, Zélia Duncan, and Ivan Lins. Her album “Pop Banana” and upcoming release “D’Água” showcase her unique musical vision. 

Sanyu (NO)

The Oslo based singer and producer made a name for herself performing at numerous festivals such as Oya, Trondheim Calling and on several occasions at Copenhagen and Oslo’s Jazz Festivals. Now she will visit Union and Copenhagen with her experienced and playfull band.

Together with her two guitarists, Maia Castro presents music from the Río de la Plata region (Uruguay and Argentina), where tango, milonga, zamba and other folk rhythms meet in a warm and intense musical experience. The repertoire includes works by masters such as Zitarrosa, Gardel, Mastra, as well as her own compositions.

The Peruvian singer and songwriter Gaddafi Núñez presents an intimate and atmospheric program, where music and literature merge in a poetic encounter.
