Klang 2026: Kasper Houmøller Mortensen: Det vil sige

Det Vil Sige (That is to say) is a silent choral work for the voices often overlooked in the mainstream.

The music is experienced visually through close-ups of hands gesturing the tones through Solfeggio, a system in which notes are expressed through hand signs. The hands become a choir without words. The work revolves around disability, loss of mobility, and life on the margins of society, with elderly people and individuals with disabilities letting their hands sing the music.
