Borrow a human book in Union every Sunday

The Human Library is back in the Reading Garden with a lot of exciting books that will challenge your prejudices and expand your horizons.

The benches have been washed, the 'conversation swing' has been greased and the flowers in the raised beds are shining in all the colors of the rainbow. The Reading Rarden in Union is ready for another season. Every Sunday over the summer you can let your prejudices be challenged by one of our many volunteer open books for free.

The concept is simple: You show up at the library desk, where you receive guidance from our librarians about the subjects that we have available for lending. When you have chosen which human book you want to talk to, you can sit down in the Reading Garden and have an open conversation, where all questions about the topic are welcome.

Lending can have a duration of up to 30 minutes, but you are welcome to hand in your book before that. As long as it is in the same condition as before.

Every Sunday all season

We look forward to welcoming both new and experienced readers. You can stop by every Sunday between 12.00 and 16.00 to borrow an open book.

The Reading Garden will be open every Sunday during the summer - until 13 October.

As always, it is free to use the Human Library.
