Exploring Cultural Borders
Another Life, a non-profit working with wellbeing, equal access, and accessibility, joins TEMPI, the genre organisation for roots music in Denmark, for a conversation on fair pay for artists, touring and visa processes, and the conditions shaping cultural exchange and diplomacy.
This talk is for local artists seeking insight into the Danish tariff system, touring artists and cultural producers navigating visas domestically and abroad, and anyone working to improve conditions for artists in Denmark and beyond.
You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of your rights as a cultural actor, as well as potential pitfalls, and where to find ongoing support and reliable guidance from Laia Canals (TEMPI), Rosa Lois Balle Yahiya (Another Life), artist and activist Camilla Dayyani, and Morten Nybo (Slots- og Kulturstyrelsen).
The talk will be in English and it is organized by Another Life, Tempi and Union with support from Tuborgfondet.
In the panel:
- Laia Canals (TEMPI)
- Rosa Lois Balle Yahiya (Another Life)
- Camilla Dayyani (musiker)
- Morten Nybo (Slots- og Kulturstyrelsen).
After the talk, we invite you to experience Danish-Iranian artist Camilla Dayyani, who will perform alongside Fredrik Lundin on saxophones and flutes, Artur Tuznik on piano, Thomas Sejthen on bass, the sister Samira Dayyani on Cello and Camilla Dayyani on vocals and frame drums.
