A banda X 48TIMER Festival

After a fantastic trip to Bahia & Carnival in Rio de Janeiro in the spring of 2025, the orchestra A Banda has pockets full of new material, warm rays of sunshine and bodies full of exotic rhythms. And it will be shared with all of Nørrebro as the end of this year's 48TIMER Festival on Sunday, May 18.
 

So put on your dancing shoes and be ready to follow as A Banda parades through the streets of Nørrebro to samba, samba reggae, frevo, maracatu and other delicious tropical rhythms, played by the group's skilled wind and percussion players and pepped up by their skilled dancers.

We start at Dronning Louises Bro, and march towards Sankt Hans Torv.

16.30: Afterparty

At Union a show and afterparty await you as well as a delicious bar managed by our friends from Building Communities.

The concert is part of 48TIMER Festival – a cultural festival that turns Nørrebro inside out. The festival is supported by the Municipality of Copenhagen, Nørrebro Local Committee and the William Demant Foundation. 

48TIMER Festival is a collaboration between the Association of Blågårds Plads, Blågårds Apotek, Blågården, Union, Osramhuset and Nørrebrohallen. Graphic design: Pilat.
