What facilities can we use?
Union has a number of excellent facilities that can accommodate small and large cultural events. With both an event room, meeting room and café, the facilities support each other well, and for larger events such as festivals or conferences, several rooms can be used simultaneously.
- Aula is the elegant venue located on the 1st floor of Union. It can accommodate 150 guests and can be arranged for both talks, conferences, performances and concerts
- Dynamo and Medusa are a nice rooms with high ceilings, and are made for meetings and movements. They can accommodate 25 guests each. The rooms are located on the 1st floor opposite our venue Aula, and the premises can be used together for conferences, seminars and the like
- The eatery is Union's cozy beating heart. In addition to being an excellent socio-economic eatery, it can be used for cultural events - especially if there is a culinary angle to the event.
- Cielo is a large bright room on the 3rd floor in Union. There is room for 50 guests.
- Backyard and front garden: With a central location in Nørrebro, Union has some particularly attractive outdoor areas. The backyard and front garden can be used for open air concerts or performances, markets and festivals.
What equipment do we get access to?
By making a cultural partnership with Union, you will be able to access a lot of wonderful equipment that can support your event. Union, for example, has professional sound equipment such as mixers, backline and speakers for both indoor and outdoor use. We can also help with, for example, lighting, conference microphones and projectors for film screenings.
In Union, we also have podcast and streaming equipment.
Can I get advice on how to do events?
Yes!
If your event is still in the idea stage, we are available to help you make it a reality. We can help on several levels, depending on how many resources you or your network have. We always work based on the ideology that you, the owners of the idea, must be able to contribute as much as possible to the project becoming a reality, and therefore our help and advice will always focus on how you, as a project creator, lift the task with our help.
Depending on how far along you are with the project idea, our cultural team is ready to provide advice and guidance regarding:
- Idea development
- Planning
- Fundraising
- Settlement
- PR
What are the requirements for event makers?
Together with creative cultural entrepreneurs, Union has created events of all kinds, and no idea is too crazy for us not to give it a try.
However, there are a number of requirements that must be met in order for us to enter into a collaboration. First, the event must fit into our value base.
In addition, there are the following conditions for the event:
- It must be open to everyone regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexuality or religion
- It must be non-profit. It is permitted to take an entrance fee to cover expenses related to with the event
- It must not promote a political party.
Union is a partner in the cultural project and we are always a co-sender on the project. On printed material and online, Union's guidelines for design and expression must be followed. We will review them with you at the project meeting.
If the event causes extra costs for us, then it requires payment from you. This may be in connection with special needs for sound equipment, cleaning, opening the house outside the normal opening hours, etc.
When we agree on a collaboration, we make a concrete agreement about sound, tables, chairs, cleaning and sales.
