Rapolitics

Rapolitics is a non-profit organization founded in Denmark and based in Nørrebro in Copenhagen. Since 2009, we have worked with rap and other urban expressions, democratic awareness, citizenship and community-related dialogue with young people.

Our vision is to support young people in expressing themselves and acting on their opinions. We meet young people at eye level and use hip-hop to relate professional topics to their worldview. We do this by holding workshops at schools, high schools, youth clubs and other institutions to get out and meet the young people where they are.

In addition to our workshops, we create informative and engaging projects and hold events to raise awareness around a number of political issues and spread positive messages through rap and hip-hop.

We also operate out in the world, where we have done youth empowerment projects in, among other things. Egypt, South Sudan, Lebanon, Bolivia, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, Sweden and Norway.

Rapolitics consists of a board, a secretariat, a rap-coach team and a volunteer group.
