Sexual violence and feminist rage: A community afternoon
The event will begin with panel discussion, presenting voices who work in the areas of sexuality, sexual violence, emotions, and feminist activism discussing sexual violence in a nuanced, emotional, and healing-centred way. Speakers will touch on issues that are not always talked about within mainstream conversations about sexual violence, including accountability for perpetrators, guilt, emotional regulation, sexual healing, and more.
The panel discussion will be followed by a creative feminist workshop with the aim of unleashing feelings and emotions, such as rage and anger, in a healing and hopeful way. Together, we will work on fostering community and creativity as we engage with difficult emotions and experiences.
The event will conclude with an informal community dinner where panel and workshop participants can chat and end the day on a hopeful note.
