Ki! ¦ Cph Jazz Festival ¦ Union

I maj lagde Ki! SPOT ned, og vi er stolte af at kunne præsentere ham og hans band til dette års Cph Jazz i Union. Det var hans kun anden koncert under eget navn, men multiinstrumentalisten Christian Ki Dall er absolut ikke nogen vårhare. Som guitarist har han spillet for Death Valley Sleepers og The Telescopes, og han har produceret for både D/troit, Dør nr. 13 og Rufus Miller.

I 2022 debuterede han med med albummet 'The Boy From Haeundae Beach' som emmer af kærlighed til nogle af Ki!'s yndlingsartister som Fela Kuti, Sharon Jones, J Dilla, George Harrison og Lik Wray. Albummet har høstet roser hele vejen rundt, og du kan glæde dig til at dykke ned i den groovy godtepose.

Cph Jazz Festival 2023 i Union

I Union inviterer vi til to håndfulde med spændende koncerter, som på hver deres måde afsøger jazzens grænseområder. Du skal med andre ord ikke forvente dig traditionel jazz, men derimod en rejse ned til jazzens globale rødder.

An eclectic tour de force of African rhythms, Korean grooves and laid back surf riffs. All experienced through warm harvest gold sunglasses from the 1970’s.

In May, Ki! conquered the SPOT Festival, and we are proud to present him and his band at this year's Cph Jazz in Union. SPOT was only his second concert under his own name, but the multi-instrumentalist Christian Ki Dall is definitely no newcomer. As a guitarist, he has played for Death Valley Sleepers and The Telescopes, and he has produced for both D/troit, Door No. 13 and Rufus Miller.

In Union, we invite you to enjoy two handfuls of exciting concerts, which in their own way explore the borderlands of jazz. In other words, you should not expect traditional jazz, but rather a journey to the global roots of jazz.
