Gentle Creatures er komponisten Pape Arce Bayonas projekt. Med evig omskiftelig orkestrering (fra violiner til trommer til små legetøjssynths) og tekster på både spansk og engelsk, fokuserer musikken på vores forhold til andre og til os selv: Øjeblikkene, stederne og ikke mindst de mennesker, der formede den måde, du ser dig selv på.

Cph Jazz Festival 2023 i Union

I Union inviterer vi til to håndfulde med spændende koncerter, som på hver deres måde afsøger jazzens grænseområder. Du skal med andre ord ikke forvente dig traditionel jazz, men derimod en rejse ned til jazzens globale rødder.

Inden hver koncert kan du nyde et lækkert måltid mad i vores café Send Flere Krydderier, som serverer smagsoplevelser fra hele verden.

Gentle Creatures is the project of composer Pape Arce Bayona. Featuring always different orchestration (from violins to drums to small toy synths) and lyrics in both Spanish and English, the music focuses on our relationships with others with ourselves: The moments, the places and the people that shaped the way you see yourself.

In Union, we invite you to enjoy two handfuls of exciting concerts, which in their own way explore the borderlands of jazz. In other words, you should not expect traditional jazz, but rather a journey to the global roots of jazz.

• The doors open at 19.00. Concert start at 20:00.
• Ticket price: DKK 100.

Before each concert, you can enjoy a delicious meal in our café Send Flere Krydderier, which serves flavors from all over the world.
